Organization Objectives
FES’s mission is to promote
the protection and natural resource regeneration of forests and grazing lands,
thereby improving the livelihoods of village communities. It aims to:
- Conserve the uplands and other eco-fragile,
degraded and marginalized areas of the country
- Coordinate efforts to promote the stability of
ecosystems and the protection and restoration of biological diversity
- Work with village institutions, federal
bodies, and civil society organizations to develop initiatives that are
ecologically enlightened and sustainable as well as socially and
economically equitable
- Improve the standard of living in rural
communities by focusing particularly on the role of women
